“The field of medicine, as a career, was appealing because I could use my interest in science to help people. I ultimately chose obstetrics and gynecology because there is the ability to develop strong patient-physician relationships like a primary care physician and also use surgical skills to care for patients. I find great joy in caring for women of all ages, from teens through menopause. After over twenty years in practice, I find my greatest joy is educating patients about their health and conditions so that they can make well-informed decisions for themselves. In addition to education, I also try to provide compassion and attention so that each patient feels my undivided attention.”

Dr. Moody has been utilizing her leadership skills by working with the medical staff office at Rex Hospital. For relaxation, she reads, gardens and watches tennis. When not working, she enjoys spending time with family and friends. Dr. Moody and her husband have a daughter and rowdy twin boys. They are active in their church and stay busy with the children’s activities.
